The Falcon's took the pitch for the third time this week on Thursday against the Wildcats of Wayland.  Wayland came out strong, taking a number of opportunities in the first 15 minutes of the game.  GK Morgan Carlson was able to come up with several huge stops while the defense found their form, and keep the falcons in the game throughout the first half.  With neither team being able to create a scoring opportunity, the game went into halftime knotted at 0-0.

The second half began with heavy Allendale pressure in Wayland's defensive third, and yet the falcons were unable to convert.  Wayland took advantage of a counter attack opportunity to take the lead 1-0 halfway through the second half.  The Falcons did not back down, as the run of play was in their favor as time went on during the game.  With 6 minutes remaining, Senior Captain Taylor Adams found Anna Koning on the left wing with space.  Koning took the space and floated a ball towards the far post, over the opposing keepers head, and into the side netting, earning her first goal at the Varsity level.  The final from Wayland was 1-1, and the Falcons head back into conference play on Monday at Grand Rapids Catholic Central.
