The Falcons of Allendale faced off against the Falcons of West Catholic in a conference clash Thursday night.  The game was back and forth for a vast majority of the first half, with West Catholic making the first breakthrough.  The Allendale defense was playing solid, when a West Catholic player took a turn and fired a shot that hit the far back post, and bounced in.  Allendale quickly responded with a goal of their own, off of a set piece earned near the attacking area.  Maddy Brown put the ball on net, forcing the opposing keeper to make a difficult save, that she was unable to hold onto.  Kayla Matz, with three other Allendale Falcons crashed the net, and Kayla was able to gather the rebound, and finish, bringing the score to level.  The game was knotted 1-1 at half time.  

The Allendale offense began to find their chances in the second half, but were unable to convert for a second goal as the sun set.  The West Catholic offense, which for a vast majority of the game was contained, was able to put in a second goal, with approximately 20 minutes remaining.  While Allendale continued to push, and played an aggressive game, but they were unable to capitalize, and the game ended 1-2 in favor of West Catholic.

After being on the road for every game this season, the Falcons begin a four game home-stand, beginning on Monday against Black River High School.  The Varsity game will kick off at 5:45 pm.
