In the first home conference clash of the season, the Falcons took on the Panthers of Comstock Park.  Allendale wasted no time getting and holding possession.  Maddy Brown took a hard foul inside the opponents penalty area just a handful of minutes into the game.  Taylor Adams expertly took the free kick into the bottom right corner of the net to make it 1-0 falcons.  After scoring the first goal, the team seemed energized and eager to put another one into the back of the net.  The home side didn't have to wait long for that opportunity, as Kaci Bergman found open space just outside the area, and put a shot on net.  The keeper struggled to find the ball, and it ended up in the back of the net.  This is Bergman's first Varsity goal in a Falcon uniform.  

Any opportunities that the Panthers had were thwarted by stout defensive play from Senior Taylor Kulikamp and Junior Goalkeeper Katelynne Tomasek.  

Defender Lexy Bailey found the net for a third time after catching the opposing goalkeeper off her line.  From 30 yards, Lexy recognized the opportunity, and sent a high arcing ball over the keeper's head, and into the back of the net.

While the falcons had a multitude of other chances, none were able to strike gold, and the game ended in a 3-0 victory for Allendale.  The team continues it's 2018 OK Blue conference campaign this Wednesday at Sparta.  Kickoff is at 6:45pm
