The Falcons of Allendale squared off against the Dutch of Holland on Friday night in a non conference clash.  Allendale, plagued with several injuries, came out swinging against the visitors, earning several chances early in the game.  Holland fought back, and found the back of the net on a floater from the top of the area.  Despite falling behind early, the Falcons continued to create chances, but couldn't get any into the back of the net.

In the second half, the Dutch found the net early, leaving the Falcons in a 0-2 hole.  As the second half wore on, the Falcons began to gather momentum, which came to a head when Junior Taylor Adams struck a ball over the head of the Dutch keeper with 10 minutes remaining.  With renewed vigor, the Falcons pushed harder in the final 10 minutes, and were at times only feet away from tying the game.  Unfortunately, time expired before the Falcons were able to capitalize on their momentum.  The final was Allendale 1-2 Holland

The Falcons play West Catholic in the second game of the 2018 series between the two conference schools.  Kickoff is at 5:45 pm
