We have reached the midway point of the season, and teams are jockeying for good position in the table before the conference schedule resets.  Allendale met Sparta in the first of two matchups this season.  Allendale was looking for it's fourth straight victory, and they wasted no time getting on the board in the first half.  Avery Terpstra created space for herself off a pass by Midfielder Anna Koning just four minutes into the game.  Once Allendale set the tone of the game, they were able to control possession and connected a number of passes together, allowing Kennadi Fuller to score her 10th goal of the season less than five minutes later.  

Fuller wasn't finished in the first half though, with 2 minutes remaining before the half time whistle, Captain Halle Battjes found Fuller on a cross from the corner, which Fuller was able to put into the back of the net with authority.  The half time score favored the Falcons 3-0.  

In the second half, the Falcons were able to control, but had some issues capitalizing on the opportunities that they had.  It wasn't until Rachel Sinnott found an open Catherine Hildebrand inside the opponent's attacking area, that the second half's ice was broken.  Hildebrand lifted the ball to herself, and volleyed it out of reach of the keeper to score her first goal for the Falcons.  

Autumn Post found the net unassisted with 20 seconds left, to bring the final score to 5-0 in favor of the Falcons.  This was the teams 4th consecutive clean sheet, led by goalkeeper Hadley Detter.  

The team will play the conference leading Catholic Central at home on Friday in a game with massive implications for the top half of the table.
