The Falcons played at home on Friday night against the Cougars of Catholic Central.  The Falcons found themselves down early in the game, as the Cougars scored in the first five minutes.  The Falcons pressed back, and began to find their form throughout the rest of the first half.  Hadley Detter was frequently the saving grace of the Falcon team, registering 7 of her 9 saves on the night in the first half. The Falcons held off Catholic Central until a few minutes into the second half, when the Cougars found the back of the net on a cross from the corner.  Again finding themselves down early in the half, the Falcons began to push back. In the second half, the Falcons had a number of chances, one bouncing off the inside of the post.  Allendale was unable to connect on any other options, but played until the final whistle.

The Falcons travel to rival Coopersville on Monday for the first leg of the Battle of the Bridge.  JV will kick off at 5:00pm.
