The Falcons faced off against the Spartans of Sparta on Monday night.  As the rain continued on and off throughout the match, the Falcons remained strong, and seeks to put an exclamation point at the end of the season.  

The Falcons controlled the game, but struggled converting in the first half, no doubt the wet and muddy turf playing a role.  Multiple shots missed the frame in the first half, until Avery Terpstra, fresh off a stint with the Varsity program, found the back of the net off an assist from Autumn Post.  It did not take long for Autumn to find the back of the net herself, and the team went into the half up 2-0.

The team came out of the huddle in the second half on fire, Kennadi Fuller scored with a shot that skipped in the wet grass.  Addie DeMott found the back of the net ten minutes later off a beautiful cross from Kristen Maycroft.  With the score 4-0, the Falcons continued to press, but were unable to convert any other chances.  Hadley Detter made several key saves to maintain the clean sheet for the Falcons.

The season comes to a close on Wednesday for the JV players against cross-town rivals Coopersville.  The game will be played at 4:00pm at Falcon Soccer Field
