The Girl's Track team opened the OK Blue Conference season at home vs the defending conference champions from Spring Lake.  It was a close contest, but due to some amazing performances, our girls came away with the victory; 75-62.  All of the girls performed very well, with the veterans performing like I knew they would, but here are a few amazing "surprises" from the younger team members that helped us pull off the victory...

Freshman Maddie Kooistra - 3rd place in both 100 hurdles and pole vault; 2 extra points.

Freshman Saphy Allers - 2nd in the 300 hurdles; 3 extra points.

Sophomore Taylor Hillabrandt - 3rd in the 400m; 1 extra point

Sophomore Brianna Bredeweg - 3rd in the 200m; 1 extra point

Sophomore Kori Baumann - 2nd in high jump; 3 extra points

Freshman Anna Steele - 1st in shot put; 5 extra points.

Sophomore Mackenna Schmuker - 1st in discus; 5 extra points.
